Outgoing Mail → Mariah & Ali

I have been feeling pretty uninspired lately, but luckily there are loads of mail art blogs on Tumblr! I finally stopped making excuses and just sorted through the #mail art tag. There are tons of mail art blogs and mail art projects, I will definitely have to watch the Tumblr community and see if I can get some swaps or pen pals going!

I recently went to Wales so I only now have gotten around to sending my sister a letter. I pressed some flowers I picked in Wales and put them in the letter, but sadly no photos. My friend Ali sent me a letter recently, which I responded to. She'll be turning 21 in September, I wish I could celebrate with her! Hopefully she likes my semi-birthday card/letter.

The letter I wrote Ali flips. One side is a Birthday side and one is a cute and quirky Alice in Wonderland-esque. The style of the Birthday side was inspired by a Tumblr user, you can see that specific post here. The Tumblr user is ayrton-the-throne, and she's an amazing mail artist and artist in general! Thanks for helping me get out of a rut.
The original used washi tape, but I used some old pieces of scrapbook paper. On the Wonderland side I glued a King & Queen of Hearts I received as a present in a Christmas cracker! I sewed a little key charm onto the paper as well, I picked that up at a bead store. The girls having tea were from a magazine I received in an order I purchased from boohoo.com.

All hail! I am still alive and well. I had to put the brakes on my mail life so updates have been scarce. I am back though (I barely got started)! I will try to update every Wednesday & Sunday! No theme days yet, but that could change. I will be looking for some pen pals and swappers and I will update as I find some as well! Thanks for your time and patience anyone who is still reading!
